The own four walls as a cage of self-reflection. The contact with other people becomes an unusual and strangely pleasant experience, while time and life seems to pass you by. Suddenly things take up time that previously took up little space and you fall into a rut of habit. The consumption of intoxicating substances seems to be a welcome distraction, bringing moments of calm to the mind while the world outside is turned upside down.

The Münzviertel, a district so hidden yet apparent to the knowing eye.
A plce kept in a constant state of flux, formed by its various citizens.
What happens in their vicinity? How do they live in a time of global lockdowns, and which thoughts, whishes and problems arise from it?
A search for community and identity.

Our emotions influence our view of the world. While some people who have just fallen in love perceive their surroundings through rose-coloured glasses, others see only red in a situation of danger. Thanks to Corona, everything is now upside down. Both the everyday life and the perception of what surrounds us has changed. Influenced by the pandemic, this series documents my new perspective.

The place where we live.

The space which we feel with our feelings.

The time when everything what matters dissolves into

a stream of uncertainty.

At the beginning I would not have thought that Corona would reach Germany, but soon many news of infections spread around the globe and also in Germany. Various measures were taken to contain it and life was turned upside down by many and also by me.

My mood worsened more and more with every week.

Through still lifes I would like to deal with the development of my mood during the Corona crisis and show my displeasure.

My roommates and I usually follow very different daily routines and although we share an apartment, we rarely run into each other. The upcoming pandemic has changed the way we live together. Home office and online university, eating together and only being together in the apartment.

You learn to appreciate each other and to deal with each other in different situations. We adapt to the apartment as we adapted to the lock down. In this way we experience a new and special kind of living together, which we will always remember.

In my series about Corona I want to deal with the trend #athomephotoshoot. On Instagram this # has been used over 16 thousand times, where users take pictures of themselves at home, but which look like they were promoted in a studio or shot for a Campania. Especially kihmberlie, as her insta-name is known, became very famous with the #athomephotoshoot. She builds small settings at her home or outdoors and photographs herself with the self-timer. And that's where I want to start. I'm looking for inspiration from old cover pictures and in fashion I'm trying to create my own #athomephotoshoot series.

The summer holidays 2020 were imagined differently - snorkeling in Greece, surfing in Hawaii, drinking cocktails or beer on Mallorca. This year's summer holiday falls on Corona and is thus moved to the balcony.

We wish ourselves and our neighbours "health", whether you sneeze or not. Whether we are infected...

...is uncertain. Thanks to Corona, our well-being is brought into focus - crazy that it took a worldwide pandemic to do this.

Concept
